Better Access to Mental Health Care Program
Under the Australian Government’s ‘Better Access to Mental Health Care’ program, individuals with anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and sleep problems may obtain a Medicare refund (approximately $75 of the cost of each session for up to 12 sessions per calendar year) for their psychological treatment.
In order to access the Medicare refund, it is necessary to make an appointment with your general practitioner, psychiatrist or pediatrician to obtain a ‘Mental Health Plan’ before seeking treatment with Healthy Minds, Happy Kids.

Treatment Services for Children with Autism or any other Pervasive Developmental Disorder Program
Under the Australian Government’s ‘Treatment Services for Children with Autism or any other Pervasive Developmental Disorder’ program, children under 15 years of age may obtain a Medicare refund (approximately $78 of the cost of each session for up 20 sessions per calendar year) for their psychological treatment.
In order to access the Medicare refund, it is necessary to make an appointment with your pediatrician or psychiatrist to obtain a ‘Pervasive Developmental Disorder Treatment Plan’ before seeking treatment with Healthy Minds, Happy Kids.

Am I able to claim your services through my private health insurance?
As numerous private health insurance companies exist and a range of levels of coverage are available, it is recommended that you contact your private health insurance company to investigate whether psychological services are covered and the amount you are likely to receive for each consultation.
